OF THE TASTE OF GINGER?

Simply stated - Someone who can't understand, can't appreciate. I thought a Hindi proverb would fit nicely with this Indian inspired masterpiece from Chanel. It's very hard to explain to people who don't love what you love, why you spent so much money on something. It's not very often a woman doesn't try to justify her $3000 handbag to another woman who has rudely asked her, "How much did that cost?"

We value things that will hopefully last a lifetime, sometimes hold their value and sometimes even increase in value. This CHANEL Gripoix Medallion necklace is from the Haute Couture Collection of 1993. On my website you'll find pictures of Claudia Schiffer wearing this in the original CHANEL ad. The tags are still on it. Yes, that's what I said, the original tag is still on this mint condition piece and if the price were not crossed out, I'm willing to bet it went for much less in 1993 which really proves my point.

BABY THERE'S A PRICE TO PAY. I'M A GENIE IN A BOTTLE - YOU'VE GOT TO RUB ME THE RIGHT WAY.

Well fine, they're actually Grecian Urns, but you get the point. I recently had these in a green color and I purchased them through an estate organizer from only pictures, so I had no idea what to expect. When I saw them in person - I was mesmerized. They are HUGE and I know I say that a lot when I describe my earrings, but we're talking five inches tall and they are three-dimensional, not flat in back.

Whenever Lagerfeld shows a new collection for Chanel, he always adds a bit of rich history to it that honors Coco Chanel. No matter how extravagant the piece or he himself is, there's usually a reason. A very short distance from Mademoiselle Chanel's first boutique on Rue Cambon is the Hotel Ritz, located at 15 on the Place Vendome. The octagonal-shaped square was built during the reign of Louis XIV to serve as a frame for his statue. These particular earrings are modeled after a Louis XIV urn and the bottoms represent the square with their octagonal shape.

I'm pretty sure if somebody told me that my vintage Chanel jewelry and my website were going to appear in ELLE magazine in a ten page spread INCLUDING the COVER and the models wearing said jewelry were going to be all the Victoria's Secret Angels - I would have laughed hysterically. Unfreakin'believable!

Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima are gracing this months ELLE and they are layered in vintage Chanel borrowed from VineyardVintage.com and they look amazing.

I'm beside myself. Not at the how but the wonder of it all. Most people don't realize when they visit my website that I run it by myself. I'm the founder, creator, photographer, packer, shipper, buyer and everything inbetween. I work hard and I love every moment of it. I pride myself on honesty, knowledge and customer service beyond what anyone would expect.

I really started it for the love of authentic Chanel jewelry. I've been collecting and selling for so long and was determined to give buyers a safe place where a fakes would never be a concern. I didn't expect I'd ever grace the pages of ELLE Magazine.

Well, my long hunt for Beyonce's earrings has come to an end. I won't torment your dreams with the lurid and shameful things I had to do in order to procure these babies, the nights I stayed awake on caffeine driven quests and the Parisian Pickers I threatened, pleaded, cajoled and attempted to sweet-talk until one of them finally came through.

The doorbell rang and I quickly ripped the box from Fred the FedEx guys hands and slammed the door without so much as a thank you. My hands were shaking as I anxiously opened the box. I let out a gasp when the tissue was removed to reveal my bounty!

I cursed the torrential (and honestly really freakin' bizzare) May rainstorm, because I was dying to go outside and photograph. As if the heavens heard me, the clouds disappeared and a sliver of sun peeked through. I listed and my job was done, now to only wait. FOR ABOUT 3.5 SECONDS UNTIL THEY WERE GONE!

These very rare CHANEL earrings were most likely created in the 1960's when Goossens was the head designer. They are shaped like a butterfly but have a bit of Egyptian revival mixed in.

Although they seem delicate, they actually have some weight to them and are quite large. They lay flat against the face and don't hang so the best view when worn is your profile.

No. Seriously. This CHANEL cuff is crazy beautiful. Have you ever seen such an amazing creation? MY BEATING HEARTS!

This lariat by Chanel really is remarkable. I've only seen a handful of pieces this calibur and I'm not remiss when I call it a masterpiece.

With two double-sided poured glass hearts, the Gripoix is the same color as the beads, but looks much paler because of the light running through. A portion of the beads are capped with flower ends and there are bezel set footprint shaped pieces throughout to give it that extra awesomeness.

Wear it really long, double it with the hearts hanging to each side, use it as a belt or tie it like a true lariat. I don't care how you wear it, just take care of it, worship it, love it and protect it. SOLD

After I took this photograph I started thinking of the candy necklaces we would wear as kids. All sugar, so good, took hours to eat until you were left with this sticky string that had three or four candies scattered throughout. You get the idea.
