IF I COULD CHANGE TO LIQUID...

I COULD FILL CRACKS UP IN ROCKS.  I KNOW THAT I AM SOLID.

Picture the 2011 runway show in Spring.  Picture tall, leggy models all wearing this amazing liquid ombre necklace and looking pretty much the same, but not really.  Now picture Ines de la Fressange emerging in all her glory and taking those steps she hasn't walked for CHANEL since 1990.  She is different, she is iconic and she was the face of CHANEL and Lagerfeld's muse for 7 years.  Now she's back in his good graces after an argument that took place over 20 years ago.

Almost every runway model that show was wearing this necklace.  Most of them were wearing more than one and it came in several sizes that all sold out instantly.  I love this necklace.  I worship it.  I want to be it.  I have it for sale.

It feels like liquid metal, very soft and cold and heavy and substantial.  The black and gold make an ombre effect and it's not surprising Lagerfeld was doing ombre before ombre was doing ombre.  Come and get it, it won't last long and I'm going to keep it for my greedy self unless it goes soon.

WHEREVER YOU GO...

GO WITH ALL YOUR HEART.

Or heart(s) in this case.  Four of them.  Four beautiful, hand made, three-dimensional wooden hearts.  These aren't your normal hearts.  These are CHANEL hearts.  Filled with CC logos, gold metal accents, aurora borealis crystals and who could forget the straight shot of the arrow right through the heart.

This bracelet is thick and chunky and heavy and loud and it moves and clanks and demands to be noticed.  So it's this or a used Hyundai.  Get this.

THE AMEN OF NATURE...

IS ALWAYS A FLOWER.

Chanel opened up a flower cart at the Covent Gardens in England in front of their Beauty Boutique.  All of the flowers in the cart are featured in the brands perfumes, such as jasmine, rose and tuberose.  If you happen to purchase a fragrance you can shop at the flower cart for things like hand-tied posies and calligraphy notes.  It was only there for two days and like all great things, it had to end.

I kept thinking how most of what Chanel does is so simplistic, yet so beautiful.  Just the CC logo by itself is simplistic beauty.  I mean really, when have you ever seen a flower cart look this good!

GIRL, PUT YOUR RECORDS ON...

TELL ME YOUR FAVORITE SONG, YOU GO AHEAD, LET YOUR HAIR DOWN.

I can't believe it's trendy again to call it an album because I don't think I ever stopped saying it in the first place.  This little charm necklace never seems dated and from 2004, perhaps it was Lagerfeld paying homage to the past.  This season also included big cassette tape earrings and necklaces and is still today funky and fun and cool.

A CHARMING WOMAN...

DOESN'T FOLLOW THE CROWD.  SHE IS HERSELF.

I'm not sure what the catalyst was behind the reemergence of the charm bracelet, but I'm thrilled to see it happen because nobody does a charm bracelet better than CHANEL.

This one was just listed and it's so hard to accurately describe the amazingness of this piece.  The details in every charm including a quilted bag with CC logo and a CHANEL No. 5 perfume bottle.  The black leather that is braided through the gold and in almost perfect condition after all these decades.  The large toggle clasp, the hanging high heeled cap toe shoes and the iconic number 5's.

Give yourself permission to get crazy and talk with your hands, make large gestures, get noticed, treat yourself to the one piece of jewelry that can take over as your only accessory.

"La Pausa"

IS FOR SALE.

It's a chateau on the French Riviera and the Duke of Westminster built it for Chanel.  It has views of the Monte Carlo and the Mediterranean, seven bedrooms, five acres, exotic gardens and all at the bargain price of $56,000,000.

In 1953 it became the home of Emery and Wendy Reves who entertained such guests as Greta Garbo, Somerset Maugham and Winston Churchill.

Word on the street is that the Chanel Foundation is trying to restore ownership.  I hope they do.  Chanel's bed and other articles still remain.

Mademoiselle...

I love watching old videos of Chanel.  Seeing her work and watching her fuss with the models is something I could get lost in all day.  I admire her for so many reasons and learn something new about her every day.  Even though I'm not a huge fan of Lagerfeld and the controversial things he does and says, I also admire and respect him for loving Chanel and paying tribute to her every season without fail.

Enjoy.
